Roosevelt Presume, Esq. is an Associate Attorney with the Ticktin Law Group at the firm’s Deerfield Beach location. Roosevelt was born in Haiti but grew up in New York City. Roosevelt started his undergraduate education at The Pennsylvania State University where he earned his degree in law and society. After graduation, Roosevelt worked in Manhattan as a paralegal for 9 years. Thereafter he reignited the passion to study law and returned to school to pursue a law degree. Roosevelt went on to study law at Barry University School of Law.
While in law school, Roosevelt served as the President of the American Association of Justice (AAJ). He was also a member of the Barry University School of Law Trial Team. In his final year of law school Roosevelt worked as a certified legal Intern with the Miami-Dade State Attorneys’ office. That internship was one of the most sought-after internships in the state. While at the Miami-Dade State Attorneys’ office, Roosevelt gained immeasurable trial experience. Ultimately, he learned that being a prosecutor is not his calling, so after graduating law school, Roosevelt focused his practice on general civil litigation.
Before coming to The Ticktin Law Group, Roosevelt worked at the Fort Lauderdale office of Boyd Richards Parker & Colonnelli as a First-Party Insurance Defense Counsel. He then went on to work at Heritage Insurance Company as in-house counsel. Finally, he went on to work for one of the most preeminent minority-owned law firms in Miami. Roosevelt has extensive legal experience in automobile negligence, premise liability, and general negligence actions.
Roosevelt is a member of the Florida Bar and the Federal Bar for the Southern District of Florida.
